Blogger Interview Series – Tina

*peeks head in”*

Hi friends! It’s Susan here! Welcome to post #2 of the Blogger Interview Series! I am probably at some watering hole in Halifax, or in my peejays eating cake with the bestie right now. Fret not, I have another stellar interview for you today!

Tina from Faith Fitness Fun is raw and real, while being a complete and utter sweetheart. She’s mom to an adorable daughter, and even rocked out a figure. competition post-pregnancy. Best of all, her posts make me think and examine both myself and those around me. Oh yeah, did I say she’s mom to just one kid? Cause she’s got another one on the way!

1. Quick! Describe your blog in 6 words!

Achieving fitness with faith and fun.

2. How did you come up with your blog name?

I am very passionate about living a healthy lifestyle that is about more than diet and exercise. I wanted to incorporate all areas of my life into my title. My passions for my faith, being fit, and making everything in life fun. You can read more about what is behind my blog title here.

3. What attracted you to blogging?

I originally was attracted to it as an outlet for my thoughts and a journal for my diet and workouts. It has definitely changed since then. Now I am attracted to it for the community it offers and the chance to support others while they also help me learn new things as well.

4. What surprised you about blogging?

How much it motivated me to try new things. I have started experimenting with more meat-free adaptations of meals, even though I don’t ever foresee myself being a vegetarian I do like the recipes and ways to get in more veggies/grains. I have picked up yoga, which is something I never thought I would like but I really do.

5. What do you do for content ideas?

Just live! Things always pop into my head to write about.

6. Blogging is a big time commitment – what makes it worth it to you?

Being able to express myself and get support from others. I also really enjoy having a place to discuss so many things that I am passionate about that some of my friends/family or sick of hearing about.

7. What hobbies did you have before you started blogging?

I have always loved working out. I would say that was and still is a hobby. I also really enjoy reading and going on hikes. Those are hobbies I still have though.

8. What is one secret you’ve thus far conveniently kept off your blog?

Hahaha! I don’t think I keep any secrets on my blog! Oh wait. There is one and it has to do with writing.

9. What do your friends and family think of your blogging habits?

My husband is very supportive and thinks it is great although sometimes I know he doesn’t care for the time it takes. The rest of my family doesn’t really get it. They just know I have a blog and not what goes into it.

10. What other blogger inspires you?

Oh goodness. Too many to answer. I think every blogger that I read inspires me in a different way. Some inspire me with new workouts, some inspire my faith, some inspire new things in the kitchen, some inspire me to keep doing what I’m doing. I don’t read blogs that don’t inspire me in some way.

Susan’s Question of the Day: What new things have food blogs inspired you to try? I had never tried nut butter on oatmeal before discovering food blogs. Blasphemy!
